The fabrication of the cigars

The Cuban cigars are made completely by hand with chosen leaves.
There are three types of leaves:
-El seco (the dry one - gives strength of the tobacco)
-ligero (slight - gives the aroma)
-bolao (flying - gives perfect combustion of the tobacco)
These leaves twist jointly with another leaf , that wraps the other leaves. This procedure is called: la tripa del habano (the gut of the cigar).
Later on you chops the tip, it introduces a mould and it is pressed 15 minutes it stops later to dress the tobacco with a flexible leaf. This is called: la capa (the layer).
Then the cigars are cut with at the commercial measure.
All this is made in a department that's named galley which is the department of twisting by hand.
Because all cigars in one box have the same colors, they must be sorted another time. This happens in the "escidida". After that they get their labels "arnillos" sticked, before the cigars reach into the boxes and are sealed.
Then it passes to the department of chosen, where they are selected so that they don't pass with defects, Example: to have good figure, the layer can't be broken neither spotted, the tobacco can't be hard neither soft, can't have potholes. All in all the cigars have to be perfect.
After this, the cigars must be stored three weeks with 16ºC -18ºC and.65%-70% humidity. They are putted in bundles to 50 pieces into the camp-wardrobes. Through this time, they lose the high moisture, that was necessary in the manufacture-process.
